Highbridge Hills is under new ownership in 2025

Hi everyone! My name is Andrew Snippen and I am here to introduce myself and my business partner, Ian Corrado, as the new owners of Highbridge Hills. You may know us from our time spent on the Hill and for being a part of the team that runs the Highbridge Hills Disc Golf Jamboree. We couldn’t be more thrilled and grateful to be in this position to take over the reins and continue building the storied legacy of the greatest disc golf complex in the entire world! We know that we have a lot of work ahead of us but we’re passionate and driven and know the magic that exists in these hills that has kept this place alive for disc golfers for over 20 years. We also know that we will not be alone in this venture as we bring a strong team with us and we are fully aware of the love and support that the entire disc golf community has given to this place over the years. Wheels are already in motion for the 2025 season, as we pick up right where Mountain Man has left off in bringing Highbridge Hills back to its glory for all to enjoy and then some. HH is a place of inclusion for people from all walks of life, regardless of your situation or beliefs, and we hope that you continue on this journey with us to take the experience to the next level and beyond. It’s go time!

A little about myself and how I got to this point. I still remember getting the phone call from Tom back in January of 2019, saying that he had purchased Highbridge Hills. I was floored and didn’t really know what that meant, but I was so excited to hear this from him as I knew what he was capable of accomplishing. He told me that he wanted me to be in charge of events on the Hill based on what he saw from me and my work co-founding and building our private course/club Chesterfields DGC into a unique and total disc golf experience for all involved. Highbridge Hills was the next step for me and my commitment to the Hill has been strong and unwavering ever since. In 2020, we ran the first annual Highbridge Hills Disc Golf Jamboree which incorporates disc golf, live music, and camping to create the ultimate disc golf experience. Bringing the 3 elements together cohesively on the property has been a top goal of mine since day 1 and we will continue to grow the live music scene at Highbridge Hills, without ever negatively impacting the disc golf courses or vibe. I’ve also been one of Tom’s closest partners in all aspects of running the Highbridge Hills business, so I come in with a deep understanding of how things have operated over the last 6 years under MM’s leadership.

Ian Corrado brings a tremendous amount of talent, knowledge and passion for improving disc golf courses, running tournaments and for the sport of disc golf in general. He voluntarily puts in more time and work on our local courses in Stevens Point and around the rest of the state than anyone I know. I often ask him, “what you got planned for tomorrow?” and he responds with “Doing course work. Not really sure where yet, but one of the courses.” He’s a skilled arborist who knows how to work any piece of equipment needed for maintaining courses. His standards are incredibly high and he will go out almost every night the week leading up to one of his events to fine tune the already immaculate courses that the average disc golfer would not be able to find anything to complain about. Ian has also been incredibly involved with Highbridge Hills and put in countless hours helping move the courses forward over the years. When Tom was working tirelessly to mow the courses, Ian would come up and help make the courses shine by completing much needed tree maintenance to open up throwing lanes the way they were designed to be. He cannot wait to continue this work and finally get around to tackling the Bear. He will also be running tournaments and leagues and bringing some extra fun to maximize your Highbridge Hills experience.

With us, comes our team. This includes the Platty Daddy himself, Mr. Randy Schukar. His involvement and commitment to growing the sport for over 30 years stacks up to anyone else in the scene. He has been a mentor and partner to me and Ian for many years, not only sharing everything he knows, but also listening to fresh ideas from us and coming up with the best possible solutions to anything we face. He’s designed some of the best courses in WI, runs some of the best tournaments, and continues his efforts each and every year to this day. If you dream it, he can make it happen… even if he thinks the ideas are slightly whacky. Our other core team member is my wife, Sarah Snippen. She always brings a unique perspective to our projects by focusing on the fine details that really make things SHINE! It’s that final 10% of effort that often makes 50% of the difference. Her bright and friendly personality will undoubtedly put a smile on your face and lead to some deep and thoughtful conversation. Sarah and Randy are also partners in growing and protecting native wildflower species to increase pollinator populations and beautify our natural spaces. They will continue these efforts around the courses at Highbridge Hills to enhance the HH experience for all.

Then there’s Tom. What can I say about Tom that you haven’t already learned over the past 6 years of him running Highbridge Hills. He’s been a teacher, mentor, partner and friend.. always sharing his life knowledge and challenging you to question what you may think to be true. There’s no way we would be where we are today, writing this, without everything Tom has given to the property and to the people involved. It was always his goal to bring the Hill back to its original glory, doing the insane amount of work that no one else would even think to take on, so that he could set HH up for the next group to take over and continue building upon the strong foundation. Although he’s reached his goal, his commitment to the Hill is not over yet. He will be staying on to help mow fairways and teach us every detail that we need to know to ensure we are set up as best as possible to be successful in growing the Highbridge Hills experience.

We know that it’s going to take more than just the efforts of these key players to truly take Highbridge Hills to the next level. We’ve built so many incredible relationships with some of the smartest and most driven people in the disc golf scene. We will be looking to these people for advice and support all along the way. Highbridge Hills is bigger than one person. It’s bigger than one team. It takes a total group effort from the entire community to make this special place exactly what it is today. Even though we’re taking over as owner’s, this place does not belong to me and my team. It belongs to everyone in disc golf, and everyone in disc golf belongs here.

All the love from your HH team.

We’ll see you on the Hill soon!
